Re: Guess the quotes

Sorry for poofing! It is the Red and The Black and it was Mulder to Krycek. :) :)

I'll add another to get the ball rolling since it's been awhile.

Re: References to the X-Files

In the movie Playing By Heart, Gillian Anderson plays a theatre director. When she has a romantic moment with a man in the movie, he predicts what she is about to say. She replies, "Oh my God, this is way fucking Spooky." I always thought maybe that was a reference. Also, it's a really gre...

Re: What Reminded You of XFiles Today?

I have an improvisation class and it's held in the basement of Second City. Someone said, "Why would they put us in the basement?" And I said, "Some awesome things can be found in basements." I was thinking of Mulder's office. :)

Re: Defining Moments in XFiles

I kinda think the whole Eddie Van Blundht thing is kinda a defining moment. As Mulder, Scully would have totally let him kiss her. Which means, she would have let Mulder kiss her.

Re: Plothole's Continuity Errors, Gaffs, & Goofs

In Milagro after Scully receives the charm it is shown up close to have a burning heart on one side. However, in shots where Mulder and Scully are holding the charm and it's not a close up, especially when Scully turn it in her fingers, you can see it is blank on both sides.

Re: Top 25 Things We've Learned From "The X-Files"

Impress your friends with medical and psychological weird knowledge that are really just Mulder or Scully lines.

An icepick lobotomy used to be a common 'cure' for mental health issues and is also known as a trans-orbital lobotomy. Totally made my friends think I study more than I do.

Re: Why doesn’t Scully have a desk?

I also work in the corporate world in a large company and it's definitely a sign of respect, status, and equality to have a name on the door, desk, nameplate, etc. In the episode, whether it is true to life or not, it's clear that Mulder was responsible and they both seem to accept that. "We ca...

Re: Why doesn’t Scully have a desk?

As much as we all love Mulder, I think the point was is that he can be a little self absorbed and never even recognized that, although she had an equal standing in that office, it was still treated as Mulder's office. I think it finally came to a head and since that's the most obvious thing that poi...

Re: Scully/Jerse

1. Do you think Scully and Jerse had sex? No, otherwise they would have slept in the same bed, not Ed on the couch and Scully in the bed. If she had though, I would have been alright with it. Mulder wasn't making any moves and Scully's life was standing still as she put it. Let Scully live a little....

Walter Skinner

Walter Skinner needs his own board/topic. He plays such a huge part and I think it highly underrated. Can one possibly kick more ass than Skinner did? He was arguably the most badass character on the show. He could even take Mulder. Not to mention, he clearly covered for, saved, and sacrificed for M...

Re: DSR -- What are your thoughts?

As a rule, I am not a Doggett/Scully shipper, but I do wish they would have come to a point on the show. They hinted at it; either explore it or never mention it. Their relationship was a bit too vague on Doggett's side for me. It was never all that clear what he was thinking even as it was hinted t...

Re: Mulder's porn addiction

Haha, yeah. As if Mulder wasn't weird enough, he has to have a supreme enjoyment for porn. Although it never bothered me really, one does have to suspend their disbelief a little when seeing that he watched it at work and never get into trouble for it. But, this is hardly the most unbelievable thing...

Re: What's wrong with you Scully?

It was almost as if Scully made these odd romantic choices (Ed Jerse being the best example) to try and convince herself that it wasn't Mulder. She knew Ed was dark and I guess that's what she needed at the time.

Re: What's wrong with you Scully?

To be fair... (prepare for Scully defense mode) - Ed Jerse was a paranoid maniac was under the influence of tattoo ink bugs - Sheriff Hartwell put the whammy on Scully with his vampy wiles. It's not her fault that Vampires are charming. - Jersey Devil date, I'll give you. He was dull and a half, but...

You guys have this one covered, but I agree The Field Where I Died was a snore. Space was up there as well...I kinda forgot most of it. Pretty forgetful. I am surprised more people didn't say 3. Aside from Mulder getting action, it was darkly dull.

I agree, Muldersgirl9! I think watching the earlier seasons was very rewarding to watch their platonic relationship. I really wanted them romantically together though. I like Albert's point, for something to be saved, another thing must often be sacrificed. It serves to mold the character of Scully a lot though and I think invest her in the X-Files more. Also, Skinner is arguably the most badass character on this show. "This is where you pucker up and kiss my...
