Re: Hints to previous episodes

by queenofhollywood » September 1st, 2013, 1:38 pm

I know this isn't about continuity, quite the contrary. But my mom has watched a few episodes with me. Particularly our favourites, Gethsemane, Redux I and Redux II. She had never seen a single episode of the mythology other than the pilot. Yet she got every thing that was happening. Because the bri...

Re: What episode did you watch last?

by queenofhollywood » August 29th, 2013, 4:14 pm

Just watched One Breath because of a friend who's watching the whole show for the first time. She just got to that part and I woke up to find a huge conversation on twitter between her and another friend who's a fan. So I got jealous and had to watch it as well. Haha!

I have a few of them. Out of the 14 cards collections I have 12. Not all are complete, but they're pretty close. Except I decided to collect now the parallel cards. Seasons 1 and 3 are still incomplete. oy! What have I done? hehe. And if anyone is interested, here's a cool site with pretty much all ...

Thanks! 8-) I feel quite accomplished. Mom says I'm like the Pusher! I was quite proud of her for the reference. :) Although to be fair she did say "You're like that guy on that X Files episode that makes people do stuff." Close enough.

I have a friend who had never seen it before and during my re-watch I poisoned her in a total non-black oil way and got her wanting to see it. She's on The Host, watching it all in order. She knows they end up together so she's enjoying the ride. It's very interesting to see it through her eyes. She...

Re: Scully often implied to be right

I recently re-watched everything and can't say exactly which episode that was from, but Scully does say something like "In the 200 or so cases I've worked on while on the X Files..." towards the end of the series, meaning the number of cases were approximately the number of episodes.

I can't recall exactly, but I followed everything that was on TV very closely at the time to avoid school. I remember when it first aired and then seeing stuff on Entertainment Tonight, awards shows, etc. But my clear memory is from trading cards. I looove cards and I used to collect the X Men and D...

Re: What episode do you watch the most?

by queenofhollywood » August 18th, 2013, 11:06 pm

I think the episode I've watched the most times were Redux I and II. It's hard to chose though. I've seen Existence, Beyond the Sea, Night Falls, Ice, the Pilot, Bad Blood, PMP and Milagro an embarrassing number of times. It depends on which phase I'm on. I love seeing that a lot of people like the ...

I know some people didn't like the ending, but I loved it. And saw it again now, after a 19 day marathon watching all of the episodes. I hadn't seen it since around the time it aired, I think. And it made me appreciate it even more. As a series finale I thought it was great. We got to see all the ch...

And also YAY for Scully, showing that girls are good at video games too! The scene alone of Scully coming into the game like she was about to exterminate every last soul on Earth to save Mulder. LOL! Just watched Jump the Shark. http://smileyjungle.com/smilies/sad0.gif Still traumatized.

I only started watching it around season 4, so I already had the notion of them together in my mind. I rented the Tooms episode on VHS and like Shipperatheart pointed out, the root beer conversation showed me the love was there from the start. Maybe because I already had that in mind I felt like the...

I've only ever been to one Comic Con, back in 2010. I'm planning on going again next year. I'm from Brazil, so getting around isn't always easy. I've been to the Brazilian Con the past 2 years, but they just started and it's quite small. It's getting bigger though. I was just in Denmark and went to ...

Re: Why the Mulder/Scully relationship is so beautiful

by queenofhollywood » July 30th, 2013, 4:28 pm

If you remember on the Inside the X Files special, Gillian Anderson said something very precise, that in Mulder and Scully's relationship it's more about the looks, the touch of a hand... those are just as important as making love in other series. It's about two sexy people who are very tough, priva...
