Re: Another 10 eps for 2017-2018

It is great to see you all again!

Soooo...10 episodes. Excellent. Two will be wasted on mythology, meaning that eight remains for the cool stuff. My hopes are high.

Re: What are your top 10 favorite eps?

For me, Were-Monster and Babylon were excellent but can't quite make up the top 10. On the other hand, My Struggle was absolutely horrendous and definitely makes the "Worst 10 Ever" list. So, there you go, a mixed bag really.

Naaaaaaah. They can't be partners if they're married. That means they can't investigate new cases together. That means everything is ruined.

Re: What Reminded You of XFiles Today?

A couple of weeks ago my wife had a mole removed and her biopsy result came two days ago. So we went to the hospital and asked the nurse if he can tell us the results, to which he pointed at the doctor's office door and said "Well, the truth is out there". I didn't know whether to laugh or...

First of all, welcome to the forum!

Re: Anyone who watched the series after it was aired?

Mulder and Scully are always relevant. However, it is natural that there is less interest in this message board now after Season 10 was finished and there is no fresh news. However, people are still coming and if there is a Season 11 (CC, FOX and actors all said there was a strong possibility) there...

Re: What do you want in X-Files 3

I'd like new miniseries, first episode to resolve the mytharc for good (since this miniseries ended with Mulder dying, Aliens hovering over DC, Scully saving the world and no William, it's sadly inevitable they have to dedicate at least one episode to mythology) and the next 5 or six to be classic M...

My Struggle 2: Favorite/Least Favorite Moments

There were some marginal improvements compared to My Struggle: the acting was good, it was internally consistent (of course, in a wider mythology content it was totally nonsensical) and the cliffhanger almost certainly means there'll be more X-Files episodes and at least some of these will feature M...

Wow, what a great review, Andrew ! I very much agree with you! About the only thing I'd quibble with is that I didn't think both younger agents didn't respect their "parents" (Miller seemed extremely respectful, only Einstein was not IMV). I've only read one review so far, and it was on B...

Babylon: Favorite/Least Favorite Moments

My first X-Files episode in the US…I watched it, then I started reading reviews (I don’t begin with my new job until March 1st and my wife took care of the house so…plenty of free time) and I found out most of the reviewers hated the episode, calling it boring or mindless or…whatever. Re: Scully in a Word

I'd go with pragmatic. But she is a very complex character (in a positive way) and it's very hard to describe her in just one word-there are at least 10 more that can describe her as good as the one I chose.

There are some Scully-centric episodes missing: Anasazi (Scully does all the work while Mulder just lurches from one costly blunder to another-not his fault of course, he was drugged); 731 (again, Scully does all the work while Mulder is locked in a train compartment); Folie a Deux (one in 5 billion...

Re: Home Again: Favourite / Least Favourite moments

Unless all the William talk is adding to find in him,I want it done. Scully needs help dealing with the guilt and I have to wonder if she was part of their breakup reason and not just Mulder's depression. Maybe it was Mulder's reticence and/or inability to help her. Re: Home Again: Favourite / Least Favourite moments

Agreed. Great review. The only thing I'd add is that it's not that uncommon for normal, very serious and non-hysterical people to suddenly become that way (momentarily) when dealing with something like this. I chalk a bit of that up to Scully being in an environment where she's normally very "...

Re: The Things I've Learnt From X Files Fanfiction: ATTHS

Unlike the show, Scully's role in fanfiction is not to investigate cases. It's to "keep Mulder sane" and comfort him, usually by sleeping in the same bed (they go to sleep in separate rooms, Scully hears Mulder cry or having a nightmare, she comes to his bed and slips under his covers, she...
