I watched Provenance and Providence yesterday, and I have to admit, I didn't think they were very good. The whole Jesus/Bible/God connections to William and "bring me back Mulder's head" were a bit over the top however I can forgive it for all the Scully/Reyes moments; bad ass Scully shooting that FBI bloke and Mama Scully.

The last episode I saw was The Jersey Devil. It's a pretty good episode but I always laugh when Mulder gets that poorly drawn picture of the monster from the homeless guy and acts like it's good evidence.

Musings of the CSM. One of the best episodes in the entire show. CSM, together with Scully, is my most favourite character.

Beyond The Sea - it's one of my 'go to' episodes if I need a quick XF fix. Loved it when it first aired, and it's still in my top 3 all time favourites.

Orison. Great episode. Love that they brought back creepy dude. (I can never remember his name. :dwc )
The 6:66 thing on the clock made me laugh though. That's a pretty cheesy idea but heck, the rest of the episode made up for it.

Last night we finally finished "Trevor" (took us three attempts over about two weeks, as we kept having stuff come up!). The episode was much better than I remembered!

I just watched Hungry. I'm not really keen on episodes that don't revolve around Mulder and Scully, however I REALLY enjoyed this one, and he looks soooooooo scary at the end :dwc

Day before yesterday a friend talked about seeing "Humbug" for the first time, which led to a discussion of Darin Morgan's episodes. So late at night we watched "Jose Chung's 'From Outer Space'". :)

Love Milagro! I happened to watch that one for the first time with my mom and she flipped out when he tried to get Scully's heart. She was literally screaming "MULDAR!!! MULDAR GET OVER THERE! MULDAR!"
Yes she pronounces his name Muldar and no matter how many time I correct her she keeps doing it.
I swear she does it on purpose to annoy me.

MULDAR! That's funny.

I ended up cooking dinner with the TV on so I may have missed some things but it looks like Scully never did the "wild thang" with what's his name, correct? The first time I saw this episode, I thought it really happened but this time around I wasn't paying close attention...except for that one scene. :)

My steak ended up really yummy by the way.

Sage, we're exactly synched up again, as we just watched "Milagro" a few days ago, and "The Unnatural" a few minutes ago!

Last night a friend and I watched "Identity", which is a fantastic movie, btw. Very much feels like an episode of TXF, both in tone but also because it has John Hawkes (the main character from "Milagro") and Amanda Peet (from IWTB).

I really enjoyed both of these episodes, even though I'm not really a Shipper. More comments on "The Unnatural" in the episode section.

With Nathan my eldest son we recently watched:
EBE: my son kept saying WHEN DO WE GET TO SEE THE ALIEN FROM THE TRUCK ?!
WHEN DARKNESS FALLS: he said DO THESE BUGS EXIST FOR REAL?!
SMALL POTATOES: he asked WHEN DO WE GET TO SEE FAKE MULDER KISS SCULLY?!
;) ;)
Monica Reyes: Mmm. I'm back in Gdansk. Let me get some plates.
John Doggett: Plates? For crying out loud... who eats Polish sausage with plates?

You're probably right. Fringe was cool; though never as good as TXF. The daughter watching XF with me right now watched the entire series of Fringe with me as they originally aired. You'll get to one episode where they have TXF on in the background, and in another ep they make reference to "the old X division" (I think it helped that it was a fellow FOX show).

Tonight we watched "Three of a Kind".

I caught that "old X division" comment but not the TXF in the background. I'll have to watch for it. Fringe is good but just not very good. Best thing about Fringe is that Olivia is hawwttt!! :)

Isn't it fantastic that we get to bond with our kids? My son just left for college and I moved to a new state so we're apart for the first time ever so in a sense, we're both Freshmen. Change is both good and sad.

Nothing Important Happened Today II

Not a bad episode but I find it a bit sad. With Kersh and Reyes being pushed to the front and Follmer and the Toothpick Man emerging it's clear that they're trying to reboot the show but it's far too late. They were building for a future that was never there.

But this seems like a good moment to reflect on how fucking awesome James Pickens Jr is as Kersh. I hope the new series addresses what became of him. Did he emerge from the Mulder trial and escape without harm?

I think Kersh paid for his last minute betrayal. Since Doggett and Reyes also helped Scully and Mulder in THE TRUTH I'd like to know how Reyes made it back 'safely' to the FBI and that it'll be addressed in the revival.

Chinga. The episode is crappy, politely speaking, but I've always liked Scully's taste in music. Hummel's Piano Concerto Nr 3 she listens to while driving is simply beautiful.

Our rewatch has stalled after watching The Calusari, mostly because we usually watch while eating lunch or supper, and the next episode is F. Emasculata, which I'm afraid might be too gross to accompany a meal. I would have no problem with it, but my mom's been watching with us, so I don't want to scare her off.

Last night we watched "The Sixth Extinction II: Amor Fati". It's beautiful seeing the show in HD (Netflix), but Mulder's makeup was really jarring (too clear; you could see every line and it looked really fake!)

I am up to, and just watched last night, 'all things'...I truly forgot what a powerful episode this was. definitely in my 10 ten (if I had to choose 10!!). Gillian did a great job with this one.
Scully definitely made all the right choices :-)

A couple of nights ago we watched the first half of "Millennium", and tonight we finished it. I loved how the music was kind of a blend of the two shows. I didn't remember that Vince Gilligan co-wrote this one.
